If Jefferson states that he beat the criminal case against him, and now recently beat the civil suit, that doesn’t mean that he didn’t steal $52,000. Ask him to prove that he didn’t steal it. All that he has to do is provide the bank statements and/or cancelled checks for the contractors and material invoices that prove that he did $52,000 worth of work. And if he says that he has it, then why didn’t he just give it to the prosecutor in the criminal case? Had he just given those documents to the prosecutor, the criminal case would have gone away.
